edit58 has joined forces with Matilda Goad to create our Rattan Scallop Pendant Shade. edit58’s love of all things rattan/wicker is well known, and Matilda’s cult scallop-edged lampshades are coveted by all (plus she’s a fellow rattan obsessive). So, with that in mind, we decided to merge our creative strengths and passion for rattan, to design a lighting piece that is not only the perfect blend of both our brands but one we both desperately wanted in our own homes
Every last detail has been carefully considered, from the size of the shade - making it the perfect pendant (alone or in multiples) over a table, worktop, or nightstand - to the beautiful ‘sackcloth’ flex and high quality fittings
Created by hand to our design, we hope you are as obsessed with this piece as we are....
Rattan Shade (42 cm diameter x 12 cm height): Intricately woven from natural rattan in a scallop design, by artisans in Bali, Indonesia.
Braided ‘Sackcloth’ Flex (1.5 metres provided): Neutral Linen coloured fabric covered braided cable. Double insulated (0.50mm², 3 amp, 300v rated. Made to a high standard in Italy to EN 60228 & EN 50363-3)
Aged brass BC bulb holder - 10mm
Aged brass flex grip, 10mm male thread with 1mm pitch thread, side entry grubscrew
(PLEASE NOTE: Ceiling rose and bulb not included)
Due to the handmade nature of the piece and natural inconsistencies in the material - there may be variations in colour, weave and appearance. All are to be expected and should be embraced as part of the charm of the item. No two shades are exactly the same.
Our Rattan Scallop Pendant Shade must be installed by a qualified electrician and in accordance with the customer’s country’s current wiring and building regulations. Ceiling Fixing/Rose is not supplied – please use suitable fixings for installation. Installation is the sole responsibility of the customer
