It is no secret that here at edit58 we love embroidery and try to incorporate it into as many of our products as possible; be that needlepoint rugs, embroidered baskets, our Smocked Lampshade skirts with Smock London. Stitches are so intricate, beautiful and charming. They tell a story; the motifs, symbols and designs often reflecting the culture and influences of the craftspeople who have lovingly sewn each piece.
When we sourced these beautiful embroidered textiles (vintage Turkish Ottoman sashes), we knew that they needed to be mounted, framed and displayed. Each Ottoman Textile sits upon a matching fabric and has been carefully framed in a signature marquetry frame Made by Harry Eagle, that perfectly complements the stitches in the piece.
